All Petite Amélie kids house beds are made entirely from solid pine wood, creating a strong, natural and durable bed your child can enjoy for years. Available in our «Maison »and «Rêve» collections, in junior 80 x 160 cm and single 90 x 200 cm sizes, each wooden house bed is designed to grow with children from around 4 to 12 years old. Every bed comes with a slatted base, a reversible safety rail and space underneath for optional drawers or a pull-out bed.

The house silhouette does more than look inviting. Its open roof frame gives a child their own defined corner, low to the ground and easy to climb into on their own. That quiet independence is why so many families choose a house bed for the years between the cot and a full-size single.
The removable short side rail can be fitted on the left or right, so the bed suits any wall in the room. Pair it with a house bed curtain, a soft rug and a few cushions on the floor and the space beside the bed becomes a natural spot to sit with a book. Every frame is built from massive solid pine with a slatted base included, finished in natural, white, or warm walnut. The finishes are applied with water-based paint or lacquer and wipe clean with a damp cloth, so everyday marks lift away easily. Under-bed storage drawers and wheeled trundle beds share the same finishes, adding a place for spare bedding or a sleepover guest without crowding the floor.
House beds start at a minimum age of four. Two sleeping sizes cover the years that follow:
80 × 160 cm (junior): suits children aged 4 to 6.
90 × 200 cm (single): a full single that carries a child from 4 up to 12.
The «MAISON» collection also takes an organic muslin canopy that ties onto the roof frame with fabric ribbons. Complete the room with pieces from our children's room over 6 years range, or add a few finishing touches from the toys collection.
A mattress is sold separately from the beds and drawers. Choose one that matches the inner bed size exactly, keeping to a maximum height of 10 cm for the 80 × 160 cm beds and 12 cm for the 90 × 200 cm beds. The one exception is the walnut trundle bundle, which pairs the pull-out bed with a 10 cm foam mattress and a removable, washable cover.
Each bed comes flat-packed for self-assembly and takes around 60 minutes to put together, with clear instructions in the box. The slatted base and the flexible side rail are included, so there is nothing extra to buy to complete the frame. The canopy needs no tools at all; it simply ties onto the roof frame with fabric ribbons.
Canopies are made for the «MAISON» house bed in the matching size, either 80 × 160 cm or 90 × 200 cm. They are not designed for the «Rêve» collection, so it is worth checking your bed model and size before ordering. Each canopy is 100% organic muslin cotton and comes in beige, pink, green, or tan.
The organic muslin canopy is machine washable at 40°C. To keep its soft, crinkled texture, avoid bleaching, tumble drying, ironing, and dry cleaning. Simply hang it to dry and it settles back into its naturally gathered folds.
