For five years, Eva (@homebystuart) and Jeroen renovated most of their home themselves. By blending soft neutral tones, reclaimed wood, raw textures, and warm Mediterranean accents, they gradually created a space that feels calm, inviting, and truly their own. Today, they share this light-filled sanctuary with their daughter Luna, a second baby girl on the way, and their dog, Wolf. Their space is living proof that stylish, light-filled design and family life can go hand in hand.See how Petite Amélie pieces blend effortlessly into their serene interior, and shop Eva’s top picks below.
Light, earthy tones and natural elements form the foundation of Eva and Jeroen’s home. Drawing inspiration from travels, boutique hotels, and Pinterest, one feeling always stands out: the warm, laid-back vibe of the Mediterranean. Rather than copying a traditional South of France villa, they brought their own vision to life: blending reclaimed wood, textured stone, and character-rich materials to create a space that feels both effortless and refined.
“When everything comes together, the materials, the colors, the atmosphere, and especially the pieces we made ourselves, that’s when it truly feels like home.” — Eva
Since Luna came along, Eva’s love for a serene, light-filled interior hasn't changed—even the cream rug and light chairs stayed. But how do you make that work with a toddler and a dog like Wolf running around? “By simply not stressing over it.” For Eva and Jeroen, a home should be beautiful, but above all, it needs to be lived in. With a second little girl on the way, practical storage is becoming essential. And the toys? They’re always welcome during playtime, but once the day is done, Eva loves tucking them neatly away in a sleek, understated cabinet.
That same thoughtful balance carries through to the children’s bedrooms. The first Petite Amélie piece to enter their home was the Cocoon cot. Eva fell for its soft, rounded silhouette and how it felt like a true design piece, not just a temporary, practical necessity. Ultimately, that’s what Eva and Jeroen have achieved: a home crafted with immense care, where Luna, her soon-to-arrive baby sister, Wolf, Eva, and Jeroen are free to simply live life to the fullest.
“Petite Amélie fits into our home so naturally. It’s beautiful, calm, and neutral without ever feeling boring. The children’s rooms don’t feel like a separate world—they feel like an extension of the rest of our space.” — Eva
