This September marks a very special moment for us: 15 years of Petite Amélie! What started as a small idea has grown into a beautiful journey shared with thousands of families. Over the years, we’ve become a brand loved by parents for creating calming, imaginative spaces where little ones can dream, play, and grow. From cosy beds and playful accessories to thoughtful details that make every room unique, our mission has always been to bring timeless design and comfort into your home. And we couldn’t have done it without you — our wonderful community that has trusted us to be part of so many precious moments.

How It All Began

Every story starts with a dream — and ours began in Lyon in 2010. A mum-to-be was searching for the perfect cot for her daughter but couldn’t find what she envisioned. So she designed it herself, and just like that, Petite Amélie was born.

What started with a single handcrafted cradle soon grew into something bigger. At first, a few more cradles were made and shared with friends and family, with mum’s walk-in closet doubling as a tiny warehouse. But as more parents discovered our designs, the idea began to take flight. 

Over the years, our family and our dreams grew side by side. In 2012, a move to the Netherlands opened the door to new opportunities. By 2016, we were proud to open our very first concept store near Amsterdam and launch an extended furniture line, bringing our vision to even more homes. Soon after came our second concept store near Paris and the launch of our organic cotton collection for babies and children — because caring for the smallest details has always been at the heart of what we do.

In 2020, we opened our concept store in Dormagen, Germany and launched our online shop in the UK, allowing even more families across Europe to discover our timeless designs.

Since 2021, Petite Amélie has grown into a youthful, vibrant brand loved by young parents across Europe. Our team has grown, our creativity has flourished, and together we’ve celebrated incredible milestones. Through it all, our mission has remained the same: to create beautiful, thoughtful spaces where little ones can dream, play, and grow.
