A sturdy cot that grows with your baby. The cot is size of 140 x 70 centimetres and has a solid and timeless appearance due to its white colour with wooden details. This cot is suitable for your baby from birth until they are around 4 years old. A single purchase that will last for years to come. Like all soon-to-be parents, you should start assembling the cot in plenty of time before baby’s arrival. With its sides in place, the cot should be positioned in the baby's room ready to use. Position the slatted base at the highest setting with the cold foam mattress resting on top. The adjustable base makes things easier because then you don't have to bend over constantly when lifting your child in and out of bed. The day you find your little one starting to pull at the bars (and this comes around sooner than you think!), it's time to lower the slatted base of the baby bed down one setting. Once you reach the "toddler stage", it is important to stay alert in case your toddler tries to climb over the bars. In order to prevent falls and painful accidents, we recommend removing both sides of the cot once your child is between 24 and 36 months of age, turning your cot into a spacious toddler bed. Your child can then enjoy sleeping soundly in their new bed for at least another two to three years. The Brise cot is made in accordance with all of the applicable European safety standards. By special request from Petite Amélie, only high quality and responsible materials have been used in manufacturing this cot for babies.

This growing cot bed is suitable for children from birth until 4 years, depending on the configuration:
- Cot configuration (with side fence): for children from birth until the child can climb out unaided.
- Toddler bed configuration (with side removed): From 18 months to 4 years.
Recommended mattress size 70 x 140 cm. The length and width of the mattress may not exceed a gap of 30 mm. Maximum thickness of mattress 10 cm!
Do not use the cot if any part is broken, torn or missing.
WARNING! Children can become trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk of serious injury the distance between the bed and the wall must always be less than 65 mm or more than 230 mm.
This bed conforms to EN 716-1:2017+AC:2019.

We recommend the following bedding.

For your newborn baby, we recommend choosing our cold foam mattress. This firm mattress helps ensure that your baby lies flat. Opt for a breathable mattress protector and/or a Molton fitted sheet. Next, place a regular fitted sheet on top and tuck your child in under their sheet and blanket, or perhaps a sleeping bag. WARNING! Never put your newborn under a duvet. Besides the risk of your baby wriggling down under the duvet, it is also too warm. Babies find it difficult to regulate their own body temperature, and there is a risk of suffocation. Once you’ve converted the cot into a toddler bed and your child is around 2 to 2.5 years old, it is probably time to introduce a pillow. Hint: If you find your child trying to use their cuddly toy as a pillow, it might be time to get them the real thing!. If you are starting potty training with your child, we recommend switching to a water-resistant mattress protector. This will keep moisture and any unpleasant odours out of the mattress. Note: Don't use this waterproof protector for your newborn baby. It is better to choose a breathable cover, which can also be found in the list of matching products for this bed.
