The 2 in 1 bed «Nid» is a practical and stylish solution for the toddler room. This Montessori floor bed comes with two sets of interchangeable corner posts: shorter pieces for use as a low floor bed and longer pieces to convert it into a raised junior bed (160x80). The longer corner posts raise the bed onto legs, creating a raised sleeping position. This makes it easy to switch between both configurations, depending on what suits your child best at the time. In its low setup, the bed resembles our «Nid» floor beds, while the higher configuration reflects the look of our «Plume» beds. The low version supports Montessori principles by encouraging children to get in and out of bed on their own, which helps foster independence and confidence.

Made from solid pine wood in a natural finish, this children's floor bed has a timeless minimalist design that fits easily into any room. Rails surround the wooden kids bed on all sides, including a shorter side rail that can be mounted on the left or right or removed entirely, offering flexible placement while still providing protection during sleep. When used in the raised configuration, there is space underneath the bed for an underbed drawer or trundle bed (sold separately), specially designed for our 80x160 cm house beds. These accessories also fit under this 2 in 1 bed, making it both a functional and attractive option for families looking for a floor bed with rails that grows with their child.

The length and width of the mattress shall be equal to the inner dimensions of the bed 80 x 160 cm. The height of the mattress shall not be more than 10 cm.
Children are likely to play, bounce, jump and climb on beds, therefore the child's bed should not be placed too close to other furniture or windows, blind cords, curtain pulls or other strings or cords, and should be place either tight to any wall or have a gap of 300 mm between the wall and the side of the bed.

This 2-in-1 bed is suitable for children from around 4 years of age.

How do I convert the bed from floor bed to junior bed?

The wooden bed comes with two sets of interchangeable corner posts. You can unscrew the shorter posts and replace them with the longer set to raise the bed onto legs and convert it into a higher junior bed. Always make sure all posts are the same height for stability.

What are the benefits of a floor bed?

A floor bed is close to the ground, allowing your child to get in and out independently. This supports confidence and aligns with Montessori principles.
